AI Cooling a Focus as Tech Professionals Tour
There’s massive public and media interest in data centers. They are required for the digital economy, yet there’s a movement from some against them being built at all. We agree data centers should work with the vision of the local community in mind, and we have proven they can be unobtrusive. In fact, most of the thousands of people that drive by the Direct LTx data center every day don’t even know what we do.
One thing we’ve realized over the past couple of years is that even some sharp, experienced technologists have never been in a major data center. We always welcome the opportunity to expand their horizons, as well as show off a little, as we’re proud of our facility and what we do.
So we were thrilled to host an accomplished group of technology professionals as part of the Tech on Tap series put on by IT Pros of Philadelphia. We presented an introduction to the critical facilities industry and data center operations and then took the group on a guided tour.
There is always interest in the resiliency and redundancy portion of the program. Given their domain knowledge, the IT Pros group had a particular focus in the Q&A on our strategy for cooling AI environments. We then retired to the Sly Fox Tap House for continued conversations, food, and fun. Some impressive gaming skills were on display (by our guests, not us). It was an enjoyable and productive afternoon and early evening across the board.
With the critical importance of data centers to the future of our economy, your group may find a visit to be of interest. We’d welcome the opportunity to give your educational, technology, business, or civic group a tour of the Direct LTx data center. Reach out to us at strategy@directltx.com and we’ll put it together.
